Building the skills children need to participate in school.
School readiness involves more than academic skills—it includes emotional regulation, self-care, social communication, independence and motor skills. School Readiness supports children in developing the prerequisite skills needed to enter school and participate in classroom life with confidence.

This service may help when a child is
experiencing:
- Preparing for entry into preschool, kindergarten or mainstream school
- Difficulty sitting, paying attention or completing group tasks
- Gaps in pre-academic skills (letters, numbers, shapes, writing readiness)
- Need for support with independence, toilet routine or mealtime habits
- Social interaction, sharing, turn-taking or peer play concerns
- Anxiety or difficulty with classroom transitions and routine changes
- Children needing structured skill development before formal schooling
Areas we may work on
- Classroom routines, listening and instruction-following
- Early literacy, language and pencil control
- Pre-math skills, counting and pattern recognition
- Social interaction, sharing and cooperative play
- Self-care, independence and self-management
- Emotional regulation and adapting to structured settings

How support is planned
The programme is aligned with the child's developmental and learning profile. Sessions combine play, structured routines, early academic tasks and practical independence practice. Where appropriate, our team can support school selection, admission planning or communication with the school.
Parent involvement
Parents receive guidance on home routines that encourage independence and classroom readiness. School coordination can be arranged when requested to help the child settle into group learning environments.
